Developed by JETSI project partners—including TRC Companies, NFI, Schneider, Electrify Commercial, Black & Veatch, and the Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator—this toolkit provides fleets with an introduction to the information needed to successfully navigate the transition to battery-electric trucks (BETs).
This toolkit is based on real-world insights from JETSI project partners who have successfully piloted battery-electric trucks and deployed supporting charging infrastructure in Southern California. While the toolkit focuses on battery-electric vehicles, it is part of a broader effort to transition the freight industry to zero-emission technologies.

JETSI is jointly financed by California Air Resources Board and California Energy Commission ($26.98 million), MSRC ($8 million), and South Coast AQMD ($5.4 million), with an additional $21.7 million from Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Southern California Edison, NFI, and Schneider. JETSI is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
